The Kemppi Mastertig 2500W is an inverter TIG AC/DC welder with liquid cooling. The power source gives 250 A at a 70% duty cycle and 220 A at a continuous 100% load. The machine has pulse and a wide settings panel.
What this machine is for
Alternating and direct current in one power source gives two areas of work. On AC you weld aluminium and its alloys, because the positive half wave breaks the aluminium oxide layer and cleans the pool. On DC you take mild steel, acid resistant steels, copper, nickel and titanium, with a focused arc and a narrow heat affected zone.
The reserve of 250 A at a 70% duty cycle suits sheet of medium thickness and sections: tanks, lines from acid resistant steel, railings, machine parts, repairs of aluminium castings. At 220 A the power source runs continuously, so you lay long circumferential runs on pipes without a break. The pulse portions the heat, so thin sheet ripples less.

What to watch out for
The card gives no supply voltage for this unit, so settle the socket type and the fuse rating with us before you set up the station. The cooler needs a fluid with frost protection, check the level, the flow and the tightness of the quick couplings. On alternating current the tungsten electrode wears faster, keep a stock. The card gives no weight and no dimensions.
How we sell used machines
This unit was checked in our service workshop in Krotoszyn with measurements to PN-EN 60974-4 and a load test. The price includes the first year of the basic service package: an inspection with cleaning of the machine and a validation measurement. Further years can be added. We ship across the European Union, collection in person by appointment.
