Technology in detail
At the heart of the THF 238P PRO-X sits an advanced IGBT inverter module that allows digital control of the arc parameters. The key technology is TIG AC welding with full control of balance and wave shape (square, sine, triangular). That gives precise control of penetration depth and of how well the oxides are cleaned, which is needed for a clean and strong weld on aluminium. The TIG PULSE function allows pulsed welding, cuts heat input and keeps thin sheet from burning through. Rounding it off is HF non contact ignition, the standard in professional TIG machines.
