At the heart of the THF 224P sits a modern board based on IGBT transistors, which gives arc stability and low energy use. The key technology is TIG AC welding, which lets you join aluminium and its alloys, with full adjustment of balance and wave shape for the right balance of cleaning and penetration. The TIG PULSE function cuts the heat input considerably, and that matters on thin material and stainless steel, as it limits distortion and gives the weld its typical stacked ripple face. Contactless high frequency ignition (HF) is the standard on professional equipment and gives a clean start to the welding process every time.
