Technical details
Technology in detail
The heart of the THF 400 welder is inverter technology based on IGBT transistors, which guarantees a stable arc, high efficiency and room for advanced functions. The key technology is TIG AC/DC welding with double pulse. The AC mode with balance and wave shape adjustment (square, sine, triangular) allows precise aluminium welding with excellent cleaning action and control over penetration. The double pulse function changes what a weld looks like: by modulating current and pulse frequency it gives welds with the characteristic stacked bead appearance, on a par with the most expensive machines on the market. It also cuts heat input a great deal, which keeps distortion down when welding thin material. In MMA mode the adjustable Arc Force and Hot Start functions give excellent welding behaviour with every type of electrode.
Recommended applications
- Professional production and repair of aluminium structures (tanks, frames, wheel rims).
- Food and chemical industry (welding stainless steel pipework and tanks).
- Advanced locksmith and production work in workshops.
- Automotive, aerospace and shipbuilding sectors.
- Heavy assembly and rebuilding work in MMA mode.
- Welding titanium and other special alloys.
Control panel
The control panel was drawn up for professionals who need quick and precise access to every welding parameter. A large, legible digital display shows the key values, and the ergonomic knobs and buttons allow stepless adjustment of functions such as peak and base current, pulse frequency, AC balance, current up slope and down slope, and gas flow before and after welding. The logical layout of the panel makes operation intuitive and gives full control over the welding process.
