The Migatronic Focus Stick 120 is a light inverter power source for welding with covered electrodes. You take the supply from a 230 V socket and set the current steplessly from 20 A to 120 A. The record gives 120 A at a 30% duty cycle and 65 A at a 100% duty cycle.
What this machine is for
This is a power source for the MMA method, that is welding with covered electrodes on structural steel. The range from 20 A to 120 A covers thin and medium electrodes, so you use it for repairs, corrections and small structures. For thick multi run joints and long runs at a high current you take a stronger power source.
A supply from a 230 V socket opens up work where there is no three phase power: in a small workshop, on a farm, on site and during assembly at a customer. The inverter is light, so you carry it in one hand together with the cables. Stepless current control lets you tune to the electrode diameter and the material thickness with no jumps between steps.
Features and equipment
- Inverter build. Low weight and a lower draw than in a transformer power source of a similar current.
- Single phase 230 V supply. You work from a household socket or from an extension lead of the right cross section.
- Stepless welding current control from 20 A to 120 A. You match the setting to the electrode diameter with no steps.

What to watch out for
The supply is 230 V, single phase. Check the load on the circuit and the fuse at the place of work, and with a long extension lead take a larger conductor cross section, because a voltage drop spoils the striking. At a 100% duty cycle the current drops to 65 A, so run longer welds at higher settings with breaks.
The record gives no type of cooling, no weight and no dimensions. It does not list an electrode holder or an earth cable, so add them to the budget together with a welding helmet.
How we sell used machines
This unit was checked in our service workshop in Krotoszyn with measurements to PN-EN 60974-4 and a load test. The price includes the first year of the basic service package: an inspection with cleaning of the machine and a validation measurement. Further years can be added. We ship across the European Union, collection in person by appointment.
