Technology Details
Class 1/1/1/1 Optics with True Colour Technology
The Operator filter reaches the highest possible optical class, 1/1/1/1 (EN 379). In practice this means a clear view with no distortion, haze or uneven darkening. Combined with True Colour technology, the filter drops the traditional green tint in favour of realistic, natural colours. You can watch the weld pool precisely and tell the colours of the material and the surroundings apart, which noticeably reduces eye strain and the risk of mistakes.
180° Panoramic Situational Awareness
A distinctive feature of the Operator is its integrated side windows with a fixed DIN 5 shade. They widen the welder's field of view to as much as 180 degrees and remove the "tunnel vision" effect. This major gain in situational awareness is key to safety in a busy industrial environment: you can see co-workers, moving machinery or obstacles without lifting the helmet. The large viewing area of the main filter (107×75 mm) together with the side windows gives you excellent orientation and comfort.
Ergonomics and Reliable Control
Designed for long hours of work, the Operator has a fully adjustable 5-point headgear that spreads its low weight (only 778 g) evenly and minimises pressure points. The low profile and good balance reduce the load on your neck muscles. A key productivity feature is the external grinding mode button (DIN 3). Reliability comes from four independent arc sensors that detect the arc without fail, even in TIG welding at a current of only 2A. The power system is hybrid: a solar cell is backed up by two replaceable CR2450 batteries, which gives long, trouble-free operation.
