Optrel Crystal 2.0

Crystal Lens Technology is a major step forward in welding optics and reaches a world-record brightness level of 2.0. With 31% light transmission in the inactive state, the image through the filter is practically the same as looking through clear glass. Combined with the True-Color filter, this technology gives a crystal-clear, high-contrast and colour-accurate view of the weld pool. You can observe the melting of the metal precisely, which is key in demanding processes such as TIG welding. ShadeTronic® technology is an intelligent system that fully automates shade selection and frees the welder from manual adjustment. Advanced sensors continuously measure the intensity of the welding arc and adjust the protection level in real time, in a fraction of a second, within the range from 4 to 12 DIN. The system also allows individual calibration within ±2 DIN, so you can match its behaviour to your personal preferences. The welder can concentrate fully on guiding the torch precisely, with the certainty of optimum protection in typical workshop conditions. This translates directly into higher productivity and less mental fatigue at work.

FadeTronic® is a patented technology that controls how the filter brightens after the arc goes out. Instead of a sudden change from dark to light, the system brightens the filter smoothly and gradually over an adjustable range from 0.1 to 2.0 seconds. This significantly reduces fatigue and strain on the eyes and lets them adapt gently to the change in light intensity. It is especially noticeable during tack welding or when you strike and extinguish the arc frequently. It is a fundamental investment in long-term eye health and everyday working comfort.

The True-Color filter, standard in advanced Optrel models, uses a special coating that lets through a much broader colour spectrum than traditional filters. It removes the typical green tint and gives a natural, high-contrast, colourful image of the surroundings. In practice, you can read the coloured LED indicators on the welding machine panel or tell material markings apart without lifting the helmet. This increases not only comfort but also productivity and safety at the workstation.

The silver shell of the crystal 2.0 is coated with a special heat-insulating paint. This coating reflects a significant part of the heat radiation emitted by the welding arc, especially when you work at high currents. As a result, the temperature inside the helmet stays noticeably lower, which directly improves the welder's comfort. This is a key feature during long jobs or in hot surroundings, as it reduces fatigue and helps you stay focused.
