Technology in detail
Slide-up design with detachable hard hat
The innovative slide-up mechanism lets you smoothly raise the auto-darkening filter (ADF) module, exposing a large panoramic protective visor. You can move instantly from welding to grinding, inspection or positioning parts without taking the whole helmet off. The integrated yet easily detachable hard hat gives you constant impact protection in accordance with EN397. This modular design ensures full safety and maximum visibility in every phase of the job. Investing in a slide-up system with a hard hat means uninterrupted work, higher productivity and uncompromising safety at your workstation.
Top optical class 1/1/1/1
The 1/1/1/1 rating under EN379 guarantees an outstanding image. Each position in the rating is the top score in a key category: optical clarity, light diffusion, shading homogeneity and angle dependence. This means you see the weld pool without distortion, haze or darker zones, even when you look at the weld from an extreme angle. This is essential for precision work and out-of-position welding, where every detail matters. It is an investment in the precision of your work, less eye fatigue and the certainty that your eyes are protected at the highest possible level.
ShadeTronic® technology (welding autopilot)
ShadeTronic® technology works like an intelligent autopilot for your eyes. A dedicated light sensor continuously measures the intensity of the welding arc and automatically selects the ideal shade in real time, over a broad range from 4 to 14. You no longer need to adjust the shade by hand when you change the current, the welding process or the distance to the workpiece. The system also offers individual calibration (±2), so you can fine-tune it to your personal preferences. Investing in ShadeTronic® means consistent, optimum protection and full focus on producing a perfect weld.
Panoramic XXL field of view
Optrel's patented design with a nose cut-out places the filter cassette much closer to your eyes. This engineering solution greatly widens the horizontal and vertical field of view and removes the claustrophobic "tunnel" feeling typical of standard helmets. In light mode (with the ADF module raised) you get a practically unrestricted 180° view. This gives you excellent orientation in your surroundings, which directly improves safety and makes it easier to position the torch. It is an investment in comfort, situational awareness and better work from the very first arc strike.
optrel IsoFit® headgear and Re-Charge system
The IsoFit® headgear sets a new standard in wearing comfort. Instead of a traditional headband, it uses a three-way cable adjustment system that adapts perfectly to any head shape, spreads the weight evenly and eliminates pressure points. It is complemented by the eco-friendly and economical Re-charge power system. An efficient lithium-polymer battery, charged by solar cells or via a Micro-USB cable, provides hundreds of working cycles and spares you the cost and hassle of replacing batteries. Investing in these technologies means all-day comfort that lets you work longer and more efficiently without feeling tired.
