Crystal Lens Technology 2.0: see reality, not a filter
Crystal Lens Technology 2.0 (CLT) is a breakthrough in welding optics, offering a light state of 2.0 at rest that has not been available before. Thanks to a specially developed UV/IR filter, the helmet lets through a much broader spectrum of colours, giving an almost true-to-life image. The welder sees the weld pool, the material and the surroundings in natural colours and can accurately judge temperature, burn-through and weld cleanliness in real time. This colour fidelity and image clarity lead directly to better work and less eye fatigue. Investing in CLT means investing in precision that shows in the finished result.
Panoramic XXL Field of View: work without restrictions
Optrel's patented shell design with its distinctive cut-out around the nose places the auto-darkening filter (ADF) much closer to the eyes. This simple but clever piece of engineering widens the field of view considerably, making it up to 6.3 times larger than in standard helmets with a 100×50 mm viewing area. It removes the tunnel vision effect, giving the welder full awareness of the surroundings and a clear view of the whole workstation. This makes it safer to move around and easier to position the torch before striking the arc. It is not only about comfort: it is a key factor for safety and efficiency at every stage of the work.
ShadeTronic®: your intelligent protection assistant
ShadeTronic® is a fully automatic shade selection system that works like a personal autopilot. A set of five advanced sensors continuously measures the intensity of the welding arc and selects the optimum protection level from 4 to 12 DIN in real time, without any input from you. You no longer need to turn a dial when you change process, welding current or position. For further personalisation, the calibration function lets you permanently shift the automatic setting by ±2 shades. With ShadeTronic® you can count on the right protection in typical workshop conditions and concentrate fully on guiding the weld precisely.
FadeTronic®: gradual brightening for eye comfort
FadeTronic® is a function that brightens the filter smoothly after you stop welding. Instead of an abrupt jump from dark to light, the image brightens gradually and gently over an adjustable time from 0.1 to 2.0 seconds. This is much more natural for the human eye, as your pupils can adapt without a sudden flash of light. The function is especially appreciated in work with frequent tack welding, where it noticeably reduces eye fatigue and irritation. It is a direct investment in the comfort and health of your eyes during long hours of work.
optrel IsoFit® headgear: made-to-measure ergonomics
The IsoFit® headgear is a new kind of three-dimensional suspension that adapts closely to every head shape and size. A single dial lets you set the circumference, the height and the distance between the helmet and your face precisely, for excellent stability and comfort. Internal pads and a cable tensioning system spread the weight of the helmet (just 610 g) evenly and remove pressure points. As a result, even after many hours of work the welder feels no discomfort from wearing head protection. It is an investment in ergonomics that helps you stay fully focused and productive throughout the working day.
Re-charge: reliable power and savings
The helmet has an advanced hybrid power system that combines efficient solar cells with a lithium-polymer battery. Energy from the welding arc and ambient light continuously tops up the battery, so you can keep working without interruption. When you work in dark rooms or after a long storage period, you can easily charge the battery with the supplied Micro-USB cable connected to any power source. This removes the need to buy and replace disposable batteries altogether. The Re-charge system means convenience, reliability and real savings over the entire service life of the helmet.
