Dedicated EN 207 laser protection
At the heart of the helmet is a passive protective filter that provides constant, certified protection against laser radiation in the key 1000-1100 nm wavelength range. Certification to EN 207 at level D LB7 + I LB8 means the filter protects your eyes against hazardous direct (D) and scattered (I) radiation from high-power lasers. An optical density of OD7 reduces the radiation to a safe level and prevents irreversible retinal damage, which can occur in a fraction of a second. Certified laser protection is the absolute basis of safe work and the only way to keep your eyes healthy.
Panoramic XXL field of view
Optrel's patented design with a nose cut-out places the filter much closer to your eyes. This geometric solution greatly widens the horizontal and vertical field of view, making it up to 6.3 times larger than in standard helmets with a 100×50 mm viewing area. It removes the "tunnel vision" effect and keeps you fully aware of your surroundings, which is key when you supervise robots or handle large workpieces.
