Technology in detail

Panoramic XXL Field of View: see more than ever

Optrel's patented shell design with its distinctive cut-out around the nose places the filter cassette much closer to your eyes. This engineering solution greatly widens the field of view, which is up to 6.3 times larger than in standard helmets with a 100×50 mm filter. It removes the claustrophobic feeling of working in a "tunnel" and gives you full awareness of what is happening around your workstation. Better visibility before you strike the arc and while you weld means more safety and precision. Investing in a panoramic field of view is a direct investment in better welds and fewer mistakes.

ShadeTronic®: intelligent protection autopilot

ShadeTronic® technology selects the shade level fully automatically over a broad range from 4 to 13 DIN. An advanced system of five sensors continuously measures the intensity of the welding arc and sets the right level of protection in real time, without any input from you. Whether you change the process, the current or the welding angle, the helmet gives you the right shade. You no longer need to adjust it by hand and can focus fully on the job. It means uninterrupted work and the certainty that your eyes are always properly protected.

Top optical class 1/1/1/1: a crystal-clear view

The 1/1/1/1 rating under EN379 is the highest possible optical quality standard for auto-darkening welding filters. It stands for perfect image clarity (optical class), no distortion (diffusion of light), even shading across the whole filter area (homogeneity) and a constant level of protection regardless of the viewing angle (angle dependence). As a result, you see the weld pool and its surroundings very clearly, without interference or optical haze. This visual quality noticeably reduces eye strain during long hours of work and lets you reach a level of precision that was not possible before.

FadeTronic®: smooth brightening for eye comfort

FadeTronic® technology changes the way the helmet returns to the light state after the arc goes out. Instead of a sudden, abrupt switch, the filter moves from dark to light smoothly and gradually, over an adjustable time from 0.1 to 2.0 seconds. This lets your eyes adapt comfortably to the change in light, which matters especially in assembly work and tack welding, where welding cycles are short and frequent. FadeTronic® effectively prevents glare and eye fatigue. It is a key feature for welders who value comfort and want to look after their eyes over a long career.

optrel IsoFit® Headgear: ergonomics tailored to you

The IsoFit® headgear is a piece of ergonomic engineering that redefines comfort. It uses a three-dimensionally adjustable structure that adapts to any head shape like a made-to-measure cap. Thanks to a precise cable mechanism, the headgear spreads the weight of the helmet evenly over its whole surface, eliminating pressure points and reducing the load on your neck. Inner cushions add comfort and stability, even when you work in awkward positions. Investing in the IsoFit® headgear means comfortable work all day long, without pain or fatigue.

Re-charge: reliable hybrid power supply

The Re-charge power system is based on an efficient rechargeable lithium-polymer battery, which is continuously topped up by integrated solar cells while you weld. Importantly, you can also charge the battery at any time with a standard Micro-USB cable connected to any power source, such as a power bank or a mains charger. This hybrid design gives you full reliability and eliminates the risk of downtime caused by a flat battery. No more buying and replacing disposable batteries, which saves you time and money.
