Crystal Lens Technology 2.0: see things as they really are

Crystal Lens Technology 2.0 (CLT) is an advanced optical filter that reaches a clarity level of 2.0 in the light state, not seen before and close to looking through ordinary glass. In the dark state the filter gives very realistic colour perception and high contrast, so you can watch the weld pool and its surroundings precisely. The welder can control the process accurately, spot defects and react in real time, which is essential when TIG welding stainless steel or aluminium. CLT translates directly into higher weld quality and much less eye fatigue during long hours of work.

ShadeTronic®: an intelligent protection autopilot

ShadeTronic® works like an autopilot for your eyes and removes the need to set the shade manually. Based on data from 5 advanced sensors, the system continuously measures the intensity of the welding arc and automatically selects the right protection level from 4 to 12 DIN in real time. You can also calibrate it individually within ±2 shades to suit your personal preferences. Your eyes are always protected at the optimum shade, whatever changes you make to the welding parameters. It is an investment in uncompromising safety and productivity that lets you concentrate solely on the precision of your work.

Slide-up mechanism: versatility and safety

The slide-up design lets you raise just the auto-darkening filter module smoothly, uncovering a large panoramic protective visor. This means you can switch instantly between welding and secondary tasks such as grinding, cutting or weld inspection without taking the helmet off your head. The visor gives an unobstructed, wide 180° field of view and protects your face and eyes from flying particles at the same time. Unlike flipping up the whole shell, this mechanism keeps the centre of gravity low, which takes considerable strain off your neck. You gain comfort and a smooth workflow, with two tools in one: a welding helmet and a grinding visor.

FadeTronic®: a smooth transition for eye comfort

FadeTronic® is a patented technology that controls how the filter brightens after the arc goes out. Instead of an abrupt jump from dark to light, the filter brightens smoothly and gradually, so your eyes can adjust gently to the change in light. You can set the transition time from 0.1 to 2.0 seconds to suit your preferences and the type of work, for example spot welding. The function noticeably reduces eye fatigue and strain. It is an investment in long-term comfort and in protecting the health of your eyes, especially during intensive work.

optrel IsoFit® headgear: ergonomics at the highest level

The IsoFit® headgear is the most advanced suspension system on the market and adapts to your head in three dimensions. With a single dial you adjust both the circumference and the tension of the stabilising cables, which wrap closely around your head and spread the weight of the helmet over a large area. This design removes pressure points and gives excellent stability, even when you work in awkward positions. The headgear fits any head shape like a glove and stays comfortable all working day. IsoFit® is an investment in your health that prevents the neck pain and headaches associated with conventional helmets.

Re-charge: reliable power and savings

The Re-charge power system is based on an efficient rechargeable lithium-polymer battery supported by integrated solar cells. Energy comes from both ambient light and the welding arc, which considerably extends the operating time on a single charge. When needed, you can charge the battery quickly and easily from any USB power source with the supplied Micro-USB cable. This solution is both environmentally friendly and economical. With Re-charge you can forget about buying and replacing disposable batteries for good.
