Two-stage cylinder regulators with a rotameter are lever-free regulators with a double gas pressure reduction system. In the first stage the inlet pressure is lowered to an intermediate level, and in the second stage the required outlet pressure (working pressure, p2) is set, which keeps the flow at the required parameters. The flow is shown by the rotameter. The pressures of stage I and stage II are set at the factory with adjusting screws. Compared with single-stage regulators, two-stage regulators hold the outlet pressure much more accurately over the whole range of cylinder emptying. They are also more resistant to freezing at high gas draw and low ambient temperatures.
APPLICATION
Two-stage cylinder regulators with a rotameter lower the pressure of gases taken directly from a cylinder or a cylinder bank to the required working pressure. They are used where the working pressure must be held very accurately. The regulators are intended for welding equipment (for example gas-shielded welding).
