This is the thickest and the strongest cable in our offer. Namely, the 120 mm² cross section of pure copper was chosen to give the highest conductivity that can be reached. In practice this means that even in continuous work at 500A the cable dissipates heat very well and power losses are almost impossible to measure. Work at 500A, and gouging above all, creates extreme temperatures and loads. That is exactly why we fitted this cable with a top class 600A holder. First of all, its massive, heat resistant body and powerful jaws grip carbon and covered electrodes of the largest diameters firmly. As a result, you gain maximum safety and performance in the hardest conditions.
Armoured hydraulic connection
The quality of a cable is defined by its weakest point. For this reason, we join the cable to the plug by hydraulic crimping. In the end, this creates a monolithic connection, mechanically very strong and with excellent conductivity. So you can be sure that this part will never let you down, even in the heaviest work.

Step 2: the resistance (R)
R = (ρ × L) / A = (0.0175 × 10) / 120 ≈ 0.00146 Ω
Step 3: the voltage drop (ΔU)
ΔU = I × R = 500 A × 0.00146 Ω ≈ 0.73 V
Conclusion
