SPAWMIX ANTI-SPATTER SPRAY, OFFICIAL DISTRIBUTION AT SPAWLAB

SPAWMIX 400 ml, Silicone-Free Anti-Spatter Spray for Welding

SPAWMIX 400 ml is a professional silicone-free aerosol designed to protect torch gas nozzles, welding tools and material surfaces from spatter fusing to them. The formula, based on modified vegetable oils, makes the product safe to use, and it has no adverse effect on subsequent processing (e.g. painting or galvanising), provided the surface is washed in the standard way.

The spray is intended mainly for the most common arc welding methods, in particular MIG/MAG welding. Applied from a distance of 20-30 cm, it forms a thin protective coating that significantly extends the life of torch consumables and cuts the time needed for mechanical grinding of finished welds. A choice of several pack sizes lets you match your order precisely to the needs of your workshop.

A) About the Product and Its Properties

Silicone-free formula

The absence of silicone is a key advantage in production plants. Thanks to the base of modified vegetable oils, the surface of the workpiece, once any residues have been removed, can safely go on to painting, electroplating or galvanising, without the coating defects known from cheaper silicone-based products.

B) Process and Area of Use

Protection of MIG/MAG gas nozzles

The main job of the aerosol is to stop hot spatter from building up on and fusing to torch parts (gas nozzles, contact tips). Regular application significantly extends their service life, reduces the need for frequent replacement and ensures an undisturbed flow of shielding gas during the MIG/MAG process.

Application on the workpiece

Spray a thin layer from a distance of about 20-30 cm directly onto the material next to the weld area. This prevents metal droplets from sticking permanently to the surface of sheets or sections, which drastically reduces time-consuming mechanical grinding once the work is finished.

Main industrial applications:

  • Protecting consumable parts of MIG/MAG welding torches.
  • Protecting the surface around the weld when welding steel structures.
  • Protecting tools (e.g. clamps, pliers) used in the arc zone.
  • Maintaining equipment and shields against build-up of slag and spatter.

FAQ, Frequently Asked Questions

Which welding method is this wire/product intended for?

SPAWMIX 400 ml is intended mainly for use in semi-automatic gas-shielded welding (MIG/MAG), where the risk of spatter contaminating the nozzles and the material is greatest.

Can I paint the material after using SPAWMIX?

Yes. Because the product contains no silicone (it is based on modified vegetable oils), once the workpiece has been properly washed and degreased you can go ahead with painting or galvanising.

How is the product applied?

The product comes in an aerosol can (propellant: propane/butane). Spray it evenly from the recommended distance of 20-30 cm and avoid applying too thick a layer.
