Technical details and certification
Materials and construction
The 55-6168 screen is made of an advanced material, PVC vinyl 14 mil (0.35 mm) thick, developed specifically for welding applications. Its formula provides resistance to spatter and sparks and, above all, well defined optical properties. The orange-red colour is deliberate: it gives a moderate level of transparency. This lets production managers, safety inspectors or instructors supervise the welding process from outside without risk to their eyes. At the same time, the material effectively dims the intense glare of the welding arc.
Safety and certification
The Weldas 55-6168 welding screen is certified to the strict European standard DIN EN ISO 25980. This certification confirms that the product meets demanding requirements for protection against optical hazards. The standard defines the ability of the material to filter harmful ultraviolet (UV) radiation and blue light emitted during welding. With a certified Weldas product, you invest in a proven, dependable solution that protects your workers' health and keeps you compliant with health and safety regulations.
