Technical Details and Certification
Materials and Construction
The 55-6166/Strip curtains are made of a specially developed flame-retardant vinyl (PVC) whose formula is matched precisely to the requirements of EN ISO 25980. The main feature of this model is its transparent orange-red colour. Compared with darker screens, it gives supervising staff a much better view of the workstation, which directly improves safety and control over the process. The material filters out harmful UV/IR radiation while letting through a safe amount of visible light. The strip design is very practical: workers can walk through and equipment can be moved through without taking the whole screen down, and the strips also help air circulate in the separated zone.
Safety and Certification
The product is certified to EN ISO 25980:2014 (Health and safety in welding and allied processes, Transparent welding curtains, strips and screens). This certification confirms that the curtains meet the highest safety standards and provide:
Radiation filtering: They block hazardous UV radiation and reduce infrared radiation.
Glare reduction: They bring the intensity of visible light down to a safe level.
Fire resistance: The material is self-extinguishing and does not help fire spread on contact with sparks or spatter.
By choosing a certified Weldas product, you comply with health and safety regulations and invest in proven, reliable protection.
