Technical Details and Certification
Materials and Construction Analysis
The curtains are made of specially developed flame-retardant vinyl (PVC) designed to filter hazardous welding radiation. In line with technical recommendations, the green shade of the material provides the highest level of optical protection: it effectively blocks harmful UV radiation and intense blue light while still allowing the workstation to be observed safely from outside. The strip construction (strips 68 cm wide) is a key functional advantage: workers can move freely and materials can be transported without dismantling the whole partition, which noticeably improves ergonomics and work efficiency.
Safety and Certification
Safety is an absolute priority, which is why the 55-7166/Strip curtains are certified to EN ISO 25980:2014. This standard ensures that the product meets the key safety requirements for welding curtains:
Radiation filtering: Effectively blocks hazardous radiation from ultraviolet (UV) to infrared (IR).
Flame retardancy: The material is self-extinguishing and does not help fire spread on contact with sparks.
UV stability: The material does not degrade under long exposure to arc radiation.
The product carries CE marking and has been tested by the independent notified body TÜV, which confirms the high quality and safety standards of Weldas.
