Materials and construction
The screen is made of a specially developed flame retardant PVC vinyl, 14 mil (0.35 mm) thick, which acts as an effective physical and optical barrier. The orange-red version is designed as the best compromise: it offers moderate transparency, so the welder's work can be supervised from outside, while giving certified protection against harmful radiation. Sale by the running metre gives you full freedom to configure the work area and adapt it to the needs of a particular workshop or production hall.
Safety and certification
The safety of personnel comes first. The Weldas LAVAshield® 55-6166 screen is certified to the strict European standard DIN EN ISO 25980. The standard sets out the requirements for transparent welding curtains in filtering hazardous UV radiation and blue light. A product certified by an independent body (TÜV) means the welding station is protected to high health and safety standards, which protects the health and eyesight of everyone nearby.
