Material and construction
The blanket is built on specially processed fibreglass, a material valued in industry for its very good strength-to-weight ratio and high thermal insulation. The fibre structure forms a dense, non-combustible barrier that catches and extinguishes the hot particles produced when welding, grinding or cutting metal. Heat resistance of 550°C allows safe use in most standard workshop applications and gives reliable protection against accidental ignition and heat damage to the objects you cover.
