Materials and Construction
The 44-7925 cushion is built from carefully selected, thick grade A cowhide split leather. This material offers exceptional resistance to burn-through, molten metal spatter and mechanical damage such as abrasion and punctures. All seams are sewn with 5-ply twisted DuPont™ KEVLAR® thread, which withstands extremely high temperatures and does not melt, so the construction stays intact even in the harshest conditions. The 3 cm thick inner filling insulates you from hot or cold ground and provides cushioning, which reduces fatigue and strain on the joints when kneeling. The practical handle, made of the same material, is firmly attached, which shows attention to every practical detail.
Safety and Certification
As an accessory, the welding cushion is not directly classified under EN ISO 11611, which applies to protective clothing. What matters, however, is that the materials used to make it, grade A cowhide split leather and KEVLAR® thread, are identical to those Weldas uses in its certified Lava Brown™ clothing, which meets the highest protection Class 2. This means the cushion offers a level of material protection suited to the riskiest welding processes, giving the user confidence in the product.
