Technical Details and Certification
Materials and Construction
The dual function of the 44-7190 sleeves comes from an innovative technical fabric. Its structure is designed to give not only the flame-retardant properties that are essential in welding, but also above-average resistance to cuts from sharp edges. This meets the real needs of welders in prefabrication, structural assembly or the recycling industry, where thermal and mechanical hazards occur at the same time. The whole construction is joined with double seams using DuPont™ KEVLAR® thread. Unlike standard cotton or polyester threads, KEVLAR® does not melt or burn when hit by sparks and spatter. This keeps the sleeves from coming apart at the most critical points and greatly extends their service life.
Safety and Certification
User safety is an absolute priority for Weldas, as strict dual certification confirms. The 44-7190 sleeves are certified by the independent body TÜV Rheinland for compliance with two key standards:
1. EN ISO 11611 (Protective clothing for use in welding): Confirms that the sleeves form an effective barrier against small splashes of molten metal, short contact with flame and the radiant heat of the welding arc.
2. EN 388 (Gloves protecting against mechanical risks): This standard tests the resistance of the material to abrasion, cut, tear and puncture. The high cut resistance makes this model an essential piece of protection in higher-risk environments.
When you choose this product, you invest in proven, certified safety that meets the highest standards of the European Union.
