Description

Who this machine is for

APS 20 IVR Combi Dry X G3, oil-injected variable speed screw compressor

The APS 20 IVR Combi Dry X G3 with a 500 l tank is a variable speed screw compressor designed for high output and low energy consumption. It is fitted with a European-made screw block, an IE5 motor in the ultra premium class, a new-generation inverter and the AirVision One controller. Together they give stable, energy-efficient operation and let you monitor and control the whole compressed air production process with ease. Built for daily work in demanding industrial conditions.

Advantages of the APS X G3 series screw compressors

  • The compressor uses a high-efficiency new-generation screw module, designed and manufactured in Europe, which delivers more air with lower energy consumption.
  • The screw module is coupled directly to the motor (1:1 direct drive), so no gearbox is needed. This cuts energy losses and noticeably raises the efficiency of the compressor.
  • The compressor is fitted with the European-made AirVision One controller, which monitors operation in real time. It enables predictive diagnostics, minimises the risk of downtime and makes servicing much simpler.
  • Pairing the screw block with an inverter gives a broad variable speed operating band (IVR): the compressor can run at lower speeds when compressed air demand drops. The result is lower energy consumption and less mechanical wear, because the motor starts less often.
  • The total cost of ownership (TCO) is optimised and covers the purchase price, energy consumption, consumables and service, and the cost of downtime. In practice this means less downtime, longer service intervals and stable output.
  • IVR variable speed technology provides a soft start that reduces mechanical stress, extends service life and saves a significant amount of energy when air demand varies.
  • Instead of separate 8 bar and 10 bar models, this series is set to 10 bar by default and can be switched to 8 bar directly in the controller. This gives you more flexibility in matching the compressor to your installation and better operating efficiency.

Actual energy savings can be even higher, because the comparison above does not include the additional losses caused by the repeated starting currents of a fixed speed compressor and the related short-term rise in power drawn from the grid. Since the operating profile of every installation varies (number of starts, load fluctuations, changing compressed air demand), these values cannot be estimated precisely, which works in favour of variable speed (IVR) solutions.

Additional advantages

  • Optimised energy consumption thanks to the inverter, which automatically adjusts the motor speed to the current air demand. This allows energy savings of up to 50% and a 30% reduction in total life cycle costs over 5 years.
  • Quiet operation thanks to the radial fan, with a noise level of 65 dB(A), so you can install the compressor close to the point of use.
  • Compact design for easy installation where space is limited.

What gives this screw compressor its high energy efficiency?

  • Permanent magnet synchronous motor in the Ultra Premium IE5 efficiency class.
  • Inverter with enhanced efficiency, allowing energy savings of up to 50% compared with fixed speed compressors.
  • 1:1 direct drive, which eliminates energy losses at the motor.

Recommended applications

The APS 20 IVR Combi Dry X G3 with a 500 l tank is well suited to small and medium-sized industrial plants that need a flexible, efficient source of compressed air for varying demand. It performs well in applications that call for precise management of energy consumption and output monitoring, such as workshops, production lines and warehouse systems.

As the compressor is energy-efficient, it suits any application where saving energy matters.
