The ADF filter Safe Guard is the auto-darkening cartridge of the Böhler Welding Safe Guard 62F Air, a safety helmet with grinding visor, flip-up welding filter and ear defenders, prepared for powered air. Light state shade 4, dark shade 5-8 or 9-13, 98 x 62 mm viewing area, 4 arc sensors. It provides permanent UV and IR protection at shade 13, even in the event of electronic failure.

Do I need to buy a battery for the ADF filter Safe Guard?
No. The filter is powered by a built-in battery and a solar cell, so there is no separate battery to buy. It switches on and off by itself.
Can I TIG weld at low current?
Yes. The manufacturer rates it for TIG above 2 A.
What happens if the filter electronics fail?
The filter still protects against UV and IR radiation at shade 13. If the filter does not darken when the arc strikes, stop welding immediately and contact us.
How do I switch on grind mode?
