Frequently asked questions
When should I choose Amber instead of Clear?
When you work in low light: that is what the Amber version is for. Under normal lighting the Eyewear Clear (Böhler Welding Eyewear Clear safety glasses) is enough, and if your lenses fog up, the Clear Pro with anti-fog coating (Böhler Welding Eyewear Clear Pro anti-fog safety glasses).
Are they suitable for work in the sun?
For outdoor work in bright sunlight the Blue Mirror model with a sun glare filter to EN 172 (Böhler Welding Eyewear Blue Mirror safety glasses) is the better choice.
Do they protect against the welding arc?
No. They have a UV filter marked 2-1.2, not a welding filter. For gas welding use the IR5 model (Böhler Welding Eyewear IR5 gas welding glasses), for arc welding a welding helmet.
Can I buy a single pair?
Yes, we sell them per piece with a VAT invoice; the manufacturer packs them in boxes of 20. We ship across the European Union.
