This ArcDrive program sets up the machine to weld with MCW class wires, 0.9 mm, without shielding gas. You work in synergic or manual mode, with short arc or spray arc.
What it is for
A program is a set of synergic curves for one wire and one diameter: you set wire speed or material thickness and the machine selects voltage and arc shape. Typical work: steel structures, frames, tanks and machine parts in unalloyed and low-alloy steel. A self-shielded wire needs no gas cylinder, which helps outdoors and in windy conditions.

Will this program work on my machine?
Yes, as long as your machine is in the selection list above. ArcDrive has the widest machine list: it also covers TERRA NX 320/400 SMC SteelDrive and TERRA NX 400/500 MSE. You buy the program for one specific machine: give its model and serial number with your order. Installation (service visit or manufacturer update) is agreed after the order.
How does ArcDrive differ from PulseDrive?
ArcDrive welds with short and spray arc, without pulse. PulseDrive adds pulsed arc and double pulse, which helps on thin sheet and in position.
Does it suit wire from any manufacturer?
Yes, if it is a self-shielded cored wire (Metal CW) for unalloyed steel. The spool label will not show the abbreviation MCW, so if in doubt send us the wire name before ordering.
