What it is for
A program is a set of synergic curves for one wire, one diameter and one gas: you set wire speed or material thickness and the machine selects voltage and arc shape. The program is meant for unalloyed and low-alloy steels, which covers most structural work. The 1.6 mm diameter is for thick parts where deposition per hour matters.

Does it suit wire from any manufacturer?
Yes, if it is a metal-cored wire (MFCW) for unalloyed steel. The spool label will not show the abbreviation MFCW, so if in doubt send us the wire name before ordering.
