This synergic ArcDrive program is set up for MFCW class wires, 1.2 mm diameter, with C1 shielding gas. This is classic MIG/MAG without pulse: short arc at lower currents and spray arc at higher ones.
What it is for
Each program covers one combination: wire, diameter, gas. You enter wire speed or material thickness and the machine selects voltage and arc shape. Typical work: steel structures, frames, tanks and machine parts in unalloyed and low-alloy steel. Pure CO2 is inexpensive and gives good penetration, but the arc is harsher and there is more spatter than with argon mixtures. The 1.2 mm diameter suits medium and thicker plate, typical in fabrication work.

Yes, if your model is on the list above. ArcDrive has the widest machine list: it also covers TERRA NX 320/400 SMC SteelDrive and TERRA NX 400/500 MSE. You buy the program for one specific machine: give its model and serial number with your order. Installation (service visit or manufacturer update) is agreed after the order.
How does ArcDrive differ from PulseDrive?
ArcDrive welds with short and spray arc, without pulse. PulseDrive adds pulsed arc and double pulse, which helps on thin sheet and in position.
Does it suit wire from any manufacturer?
Yes, if it is a metal-cored wire (MFCW) for unalloyed steel. The spool label will not show the abbreviation MFCW, so if in doubt send us the wire name before ordering.
