This PulseDrive program sets the machine up for pulsed arc welding with CrNi 19 9 FCW (E308) class wires, 1.6 mm, with M21 shielding gas. You get pulsed arc and double pulse, useful where the look of the weld face matters.
What it is for
The program holds synergic curves for this one combination of wire, diameter and gas. You change wire feed speed or plate thickness and the machine sets voltage and arc shape itself. Use it on stainless steels, where a clean weld and little spatter count. M21 is the most widely used mixture for structural steels.

How does PulseDrive differ from ArcDrive?
ArcDrive means short and spray arc without pulse. PulseDrive gives pulsed arc and double pulse: less spatter and easier pool control. ArcDrive for this set-up: ArcDrive 1.6 mm, gas M21 (79.S1.087).
Does it suit wire from any manufacturer?
Yes, if the wire belongs to the CrNi 19 9 FCW (E308) class, which you can check on the spool label. If your wire is unusual, contact us before ordering.
