This PulseDrive program sets the machine up for pulsed arc welding with CrNi 25 09 (ER2509) class wires, 1.2 mm, with Z shielding gas. It provides pulsed arc and double pulse, which means less spatter and better pool control.
What it is for
A program is a set of synergic curves for one wire, one diameter and one gas: you set wire speed or material thickness and the machine selects voltage and arc shape. The program is meant for duplex stainless steels. Z is a special helium mixture; its composition is shown in the table.

Can I add this program to my TERRA NX or URANOS NX?
Yes, if your model is on the list above. TERRA NX 320/400 SMC SteelDrive and TERRA NX 400/500 MSE are not listed for PulseDrive in the selection guide. You buy the program for one specific machine: give its model and serial number with your order. Installation (service visit or manufacturer update) is agreed after the order.
How does PulseDrive differ from ArcDrive?
ArcDrive means short and spray arc without pulse. PulseDrive gives pulsed arc and double pulse: less spatter and easier pool control. ArcDrive for this set-up: ArcDrive 1.2 mm, gas Z (79.S1.072).
Does it suit wire from any manufacturer?
Yes, if the wire belongs to the CrNi 25 09 (ER2509) class, which you can check on the spool label. If your wire is unusual, contact us before ordering.
