This PulseDrive pulse program is set up for Thermanit 22/09 wire, 1.2 mm diameter, with Z shielding gas. It provides pulsed arc and double pulse, which means less spatter and better pool control.
What it is for
A program is a set of synergic curves for one wire, one diameter and one gas: you set wire speed or material thickness and the machine selects voltage and arc shape. The program is meant for duplex stainless steels. The 1.2 mm diameter suits medium and thicker plate, typical in fabrication work. Z is a special helium mixture; its composition is shown in the table.

Which machine can run this program?
Any machine on the list above. TERRA NX 320/400 SMC SteelDrive and TERRA NX 400/500 MSE are not listed for PulseDrive in the selection guide. You buy the program for one specific machine: give its model and serial number with your order. Installation (service visit or manufacturer update) is agreed after the order.
How does PulseDrive differ from ArcDrive?
ArcDrive means short and spray arc without pulse. PulseDrive gives pulsed arc and double pulse: less spatter and easier pool control.
Can I use another ER2209 wire?
The curves are tuned to Thermanit 22/09. The Universal ARC line has programs for the CrNi 22 09 (ER2209) class, but not in this combination of family, diameter and gas. Ask us before ordering.
