This PulseDrive program sets the machine up for pulsed arc welding with diamondspark 960 MC wire, 1.0 mm, with M20 shielding gas. Pulsed arc and double pulse make thin sheet and positional welds easier.
What it is for
A program is a set of synergic curves for one wire, one diameter and one gas: you set wire speed or material thickness and the machine selects voltage and arc shape. The program is meant for high-strength steels, where repeatable heat input and a stable arc matter. M20 contains less CO2 than M21, so the arc is calmer and produces less spatter.

PulseDrive or QuickPulse?

Can I use this program with a different gas?
No: the curves are made for M20. M20 contains less CO2 than M21, so the arc is calmer and produces less spatter. For M21 choose a separate program: PulseDrive 1.0 mm, gas M21 (79.P1.18699).
