PulseDrive program for Thermanit A-318 wire, 1.0 mm, with Z shielding gas. Pulsed arc and double pulse make thin sheet and positional welds easier.
What it is for
The program holds synergic curves for this one combination of wire, diameter and gas. You change wire feed speed or plate thickness and the machine sets voltage and arc shape itself. Use it on stainless steels, where a clean weld and little spatter count. Z is a special helium mixture; its composition is shown in the table. A 1.0 mm wire is a good choice for thin and medium sheet.

FAQ
Can I add this program to my TERRA NX or URANOS NX?
Yes, if your model is on the list above. TERRA NX 320/400 SMC SteelDrive and TERRA NX 400/500 MSE are not listed for PulseDrive in the selection guide. You buy the program for one specific machine: give its model and serial number with your order. Installation (service visit or manufacturer update) is agreed after the order.
How does PulseDrive differ from ArcDrive?
ArcDrive means short and spray arc without pulse. PulseDrive gives pulsed arc and double pulse: less spatter and easier pool control.
Can I use this program with a different wire?
The curves are tuned to Thermanit A-318. Another wire may behave differently, so contact us and we will match a program to the wire you use.
