What it is for
Each program covers one combination: wire, diameter, gas. You enter wire speed or material thickness and the machine selects voltage and arc shape. The program is meant for unalloyed and low-alloy steels, which covers most structural work. M21 is the most widely used mixture for structural steels.

ArcDrive is standard synergic welding with short and spray arc. RapiDeep is a T.MAP process: per the price list faster welding, better penetration and a more concentrated arc with less heat. ArcDrive for this set-up: ArcDrive 1.6 mm, gas M21 (79.S1.01096).
Can I use this program with a different gas?
No: the curves are made for M21. M21 is the most widely used mixture for structural steels. For M20 choose a separate program: RapiDeep 1.6 mm, gas M20 (79.RD.01596).
