What it is for
Tightening the back cap presses the collet into the collet body, and the collet clamps the electrode. Collet and body are chosen by electrode diameter: for 1.0 mm use the 0.5 to 1.0 mm collet body (82.10.210) or gas lens collet body 82.10.364. Replace the collet when the electrode slips or the collet is distorted.

Which collet do I need?
The one matching your electrode diameter. The 9/20 range also has collets for 0.5, 1.6, 2.0, 2.4 and 3.2 mm.
Does it fit BT17, BT26 or ST 3000?
No. These torches use 17/18/26 consumables; there the 1.0 mm collet is 82.10.313.
Does it fit the gas lens collet body?
Yes. The standard and the 1.0 mm gas lens collet body take the same collet.
