The ST 2500 FX U/D is a liquid-cooled TIG torch, 4 m long, with a flexible neck and U/D buttons. You bend the neck by hand in any direction, and the rating is 225 A DC and 160 A AC at 100% duty cycle. It uses small series 9/20 consumables.
What it is for
For long welds in vertical and overhead positions and in tight spots where a straight torch gets in the way; Böhler Welding recommends the FX series for exactly these tasks. It fits the TERRA NX 270 TLH, the URANOS NX 2200 machines and the URANOS NX 2700 MTE. The torch works with a cooling unit on the machine and CL10 coolant.

FAQ
How does the ST 2500 FX U/D differ from the ST 2500 MP U/D?
Both have the same ratings and small series consumables. On the FX you bend the flexible neck by hand in any direction. On the ST 2500 MP U/D 4 m the gas nozzle head is movable and you rotate it into one of several positions.
Do ST 3000 consumables fit the ST 2500 FX U/D?
No. The ST 2500 FX U/D uses small series 9/20 parts: collets from 0.5 to 3.2 mm, its own collet bodies, ceramic nozzles No. 4 to 10 and a long or medium back cap. Standard 17/18/26 parts have a separate compatibility list in the price list, without the ST 2500.
4 m or 8 m?
The 4 m length is enough at a bench or close to the machine, and the torch is easier to coil up. If you weld further from the power source, for example on a large structure, choose the ST 2500 FX U/D 8 m.
