What FOXcore 13/4-MC HD metal-cored wire is used for

FOXcore 13/4-MC HD is a high alloyed, soft martensitic stainless metal-cored wire of the EC 410 NiMo type, with high impact values in heat treated weld metal and a very low hydrogen content.

Base materials are 1.4313, 1.4317, 1.4407, 1.4414 and UNS S41500. The low hydrogen level in the deposit reduces the risk of cold cracking, the deposition rate is high on long welds, and the deposit has a martensitic structure with a lowered carbon content.

  • Classification EN ISO: 17633-A T 13 4 M M12 2
  • AWS classification: A5.22 / SFA-5.22 EC410NiMo (mod.)
  • Shielding gas: M12
  • Diameters: 1.2 / 1.5 mm
  • Approvals: CE

Keep the interpass temperature low and the beads narrow, overheating promotes carbide precipitation and distortion. Keep the gas cover complete, without a full slag layer the pool is more sensitive to draughts. Check the feed roll pressure, a metal-cored wire is easier to crush than a solid one.
