What FOXcore 316L-T1 C1 flux-cored wire is used for

FOXcore 316L-T1 C1 is a high-alloyed flux-cored wire of the E 316L type for austenitic stainless steel, suitable for all welding positions and run under 100 % CO2.

Among the parent materials it covers 1.4401, 1.4404, 1.4409, 1.4432, 1.4429, 1.4435 and 1.4436. You can weld in all positions, including vertical up and overhead, and the deposit has a corrosion resistant austenitic structure.

  • Classification EN ISO: 17633-A T 19 12 3 L R C1 1
  • AWS classification: A5.22 / SFA-5.22 E316LT1-1
  • Shielding gas: C1
  • Diameters: 1.2 / 1.5 mm
  • Approvals: CE

After welding remove the heat tint by pickling or brushing, the oxide layer alone lowers the corrosion resistance of the joint. Remove the slag before every following bead, slag left between layers is the most common source of inclusions. Store the wire dry and do not leave an open spool in the feeder overnight, the core takes up moisture.
