The Kemper ProfiMaster is a mobile filter and ventilation unit for the extraction of welding fume at one station. The output is 1100 m3/h, the motor has a power of 1 kW, and the maximum negative pressure reaches 2100 Pa. The supply is an ordinary 230 V socket, and the weight is about 100 kg.
What this machine is for
This is an extractor for an arm over a metalwork bench or over a welding station. An output of 1100 m3/h and a negative pressure up to 2100 Pa suit work with one arm, which you set close to the arc and move along with the part. Fume caught at the source does not spread round the hall, so the filter of the general ventilation works less and the welder does not breathe metal fumes.
The unit runs on wheels, so it will serve several stations changed during the day. A 230 V supply means that you plug it into an ordinary socket in the hall or in the workshop, with no need to bring in three phase power. A motor with a power of 1 kW draws little, so you can keep the unit switched on through the whole shift at a station where welding goes with breaks.

What to watch out for
The weight of 100 kg rolls over an even floor without effort, but for loading onto a vehicle you need two people or a ramp. The filter and the seals are consumable parts, so look at their state and at the resistance to flow before start up, because a blocked cartridge brings the output below the 1100 m3/h given. The source description does not list an extraction arm, so ask about what the set holds and about the length of the arm.
