The Lincoln Electric PC-100A is an industrial plasma cutter running on compressed air, supplied from a 400 V three phase mains. You adjust the cutting current steplessly from 30 A to 100 A. The card gives a quality cut up to 30 mm and a severance cut up to 40 mm in carbon steel, and the cooling is forced by a fan.
What this machine is for
Plasma cuts every metal that conducts current, so with this source you will part thick plate in carbon steel, stainless steel and aluminium, without changing gas and without preheating. The range from 30 A to 100 A is stepless, so on a thin sheet you go low and do not melt the edge, and on a thick flat bar you set the maximum. The quality cut, after which the edge is fit for further machining, reaches 30 mm, and parting the material reaches 40 mm.
The machine went to heavy machine industry, to shipyards and to large steel fabrication plants, that is where the torch works in long series. The housing takes dust and moisture, and the air circuit has been routed so that dirt settles less on the electronic parts. The control holds a stable plasma arc, so the edges come out close to square and little dross is left.

What to watch out for
For the work you need a 400 V power socket and a compressor, because plasma cuts with compressed air. The card does not give the required pressure or the air flow, so ask before you buy which compressor to bring for your thicknesses, and fit a filter with a dryer, because moisture and oil shorten the life of the nozzle and spoil the edge. Nozzles and electrodes are consumables, check their state before the first cut and establish the availability of parts for this series.
The card does not list a torch or an earth cable, so confirm the equipment before collection. The weight and the dimensions are not given, so arrange transport in advance. The machine takes voltage swings and work from a generating set, but choose the generating unit with a reserve of output.

This unit was checked in our service workshop in Krotoszyn with measurements to PN-EN 60974-4 and a load test. The price includes the first year of the basic service package: an inspection with cleaning of the machine and a validation measurement. Further years can be added.
