At the heart of the Magnum MIG 200 MMA KN sit IGBT transistors, which give high output, reliability and steady output parameters in a compact size. A key feature is the option to reverse the polarity, which allows cored, self-shielded wires to be used in the FLUX method. This removes the need for an external gas bottle, which clearly improves portability and lowers running costs. Inductance control allows the arc character to be optimised, the bead width and the penetration depth to be controlled, and weld spatter to be reduced.
