The Magnum MIG 204 MMA is built on modern IGBT transistors, which give high energy efficiency, a stable arc and lower weight than traditional transformer welders. A key feature is the option to change polarity, which allows FLUX (FCAW) welding with self shielded wire. That removes the need for a heavy shielding gas cylinder and makes the welder easier to carry and cheaper to run. The machine gives full manual control over the welding process, with stepless adjustment of voltage, wire feed speed and inductance, so you can tune the arc characteristic exactly to the job.
