Description

About this machine

The Migatronic BDH 400 is an inverter power source with a welding current of 400 A at a 35% duty cycle and 310 A at a 100% duty cycle. Supply 400 V, liquid cooling, pulse and HF ignition. Besides MIG/MAG you also weld TIG and with covered electrodes.

What this machine is for

The 310 A at a 100% duty cycle holds continuous work on sheet and sections, and the 400 A gives a reserve for heavier joints. Three processes on one power source close the station: wire under gas shielding for fast filling, a tungsten electrode for clean joints on stainless steel, and a covered electrode where you cannot get in with a torch.

Pulse orders the droplet transfer in the arc, limits spatter and cuts the heat put into the material. In the TIG method the high frequency HF circuit supports the striking, so you start without touching the material with the electrode and you do not contaminate the tungsten or the start of the weld.

Features and equipment

  • Pulse. Controlled metal transfer gives less spatter and less heat in the part.
  • Three processes: MIG/MAG, TIG and the covered electrode.
  • HF ignition in the TIG method. A start without the electrode touching the material.
  • Liquid cooling. The circuit takes heat from the torch on longer runs.

What you get

  • used Migatronic BDH 400 power source
  • welding torch 4 m
  • earth clamp 3 m

What to watch out for

The supply is 400 V, three phase. Liquid cooling: check the fluid level and the tightness of the quick couplings before the first weld. HF ignition can disturb the controllers of machines standing nearby, so take that into account when you set up the station.

The record does not describe an interconnection cable, so the reach from the power source to the part is set by the 4 m torch, and you confirm that before you buy. For the TIG method and for the covered electrode you need separate torches, and the record does not list them. It gives no weight.

How we sell used machines

This unit was checked in our service workshop in Krotoszyn with measurements to PN-EN 60974-4 and a load test. The price includes the first year of the basic service package: an inspection with cleaning of the machine and a validation measurement. Further years can be added. We ship across the European Union, collection in person by appointment.
