The Migatronic Flex 330 is a liquid cooled MIG/MAG inverter power source up to 330 A. At a 60% duty cycle the machine gives 330 A, and it runs 250 A without a break. The panel offers pulse, a synergic mode and a full welding sequence.
What this machine is for
This is a power source for a workshop and smaller production runs, where you weld mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium. The memory holds programs for different metals, so once you enter the material, the wire and the gas, the machine suggests starting settings and you only correct them for the part.
The 250 A at a 100% duty cycle sets the pace of long runs, and the 330 A at a 60% duty cycle stays for thicker sections and full penetration. Pulse detaches the droplet with a current impulse, so there is less spatter and you put the heat in more calmly. On thin stainless steel and on aluminium this matters most, because the material does not overheat and does not discolour.
A full welding sequence means you set the stages of the process one by one: the start, the ramp up and the end of the weld. The beginning and the end of the run then look the same as its middle.

What to watch out for
The supply is 400 V, so you need a three phase connection to start it up. Cooling is by liquid, so check the fluid level, the flow and the tightness of the circuit before the first weld. You have the full 330 A at a 60% duty cycle; for work without breaks stay at 250 A, and work out the output of the station from that figure.
The record does not list a torch, an earth cable, an interconnection cable or a wire feeder, so confirm the equipment before you buy. It does not give the weight or the dimensions either, so arrange transport before collection. For aluminium prepare rollers for soft wire and the right liner.

This unit was checked in our service workshop in Krotoszyn with measurements to PN-EN 60974-4 and a load test. The price includes the first year of the basic service package: an inspection with cleaning of the machine and a validation measurement. Further years can be added.
