The Migatronic Flex 4000 is an industrial MIG/MAG platform with an external wire feeder and liquid cooling. You set the current from 15 to 400 A, at a 60% duty cycle the machine delivers 400 A, and the supply is 400 V three phase.
What this machine is for
This is a power source for production, not for occasional repairs. It runs at a duty cycle from 60 to 100% at full load, so it holds the current on long welds on aluminium structures and on pressure vessels. The range from 15 to 400 A goes down to thin sections and reaches thick joints.
The wire feeder is external and has four rolls, with a cable package, so you walk with it around a large structure while the power source stays in place. Liquid cooling is run by an integrated module, so the torch takes work at high current through a whole shift.
In the machine memory you find synergic programs, among them programs for braze welding of galvanised sheet with CuSi3 wire, a process used in the car industry and in ventilation making. The MHC panel works in a simple order: you pick a program, confirm and weld, and the panel housing takes the dust of the hall.
Features and equipment
- DUO Plus, that is a double pulse with automatic setting of the pulsing frequency. The weld face lies in ripples and the heat input drops, so thin walled aluminium sections and stainless sheet do not burn through and distort less.
- MigaJob Control with memory for 200 welding jobs. You save the settings for the joint, the material and the thickness, then call them up with one button, so the process repeats no matter who holds the torch.
- Sequential control, that is switching programs straight from the torch, without breaking the arc. It helps when you move from a fillet weld to a root run.
- Full synergy for setting the parameters to the material and the wire diameter.
- Synergic programs for braze welding of galvanised sheet with CuSi3 wire.
- External four roll MWF wire feeder.
- Integrated liquid cooling module.

What to watch out for
The supply is 400 V three phase, the description gives no fuse rating, so agree the connection with an electrician. Cooling runs on liquid in an integrated module: before you start, check the coolant level, the flow and the tightness of the quick couplings, because a torch without circulation wears out fast. You have the power source, the wire feeder and the cable package to move, that is three items, and the description gives no weight and no dimensions.
The description does not list a torch or cables in the set, so confirm the contents before you buy.
How we sell used machines
This unit was checked in our service workshop in Krotoszyn with measurements to PN-EN 60974-4 and a load test. The price includes the first year of the basic service package: an inspection with cleaning of the machine and a validation measurement. Further years can be added. We ship across the European Union, collection in person by appointment.
