The Migatronic Pilot 2000 AC/DC is an inverter TIG welder for direct and alternating current. It gives 200 A at a 45% cycle and 150 A at a 100% cycle. The panel runs the full welding sequence and the cooling is by gas.
What this machine is for
With direct current you join mild steel, stainless steel, copper and titanium. Alternating current you take for aluminium and its alloys, because it breaks the oxide layer. One machine handles both groups of material, with no moving of parts between stations.
This is a machine for a workshop that makes railings, tanks, sheet metal parts and repairs. A current of 150 A at a 100% cycle is enough for long welds in thinner material, and 200 A at a 45% cycle you take for thicker sections and shorter runs. The full welding sequence means that you set the up slope and the down slope of the current and the gas flow times, which shows when you close the crater.

What to watch out for
The product card gives a 400 V supply, while the maker description lists 230 V and 400 V, so confirm the connection configuration before you buy. The same goes for the current: the card puts the machine at up to 300 A, while the maker description gives 200 A at a 45% cycle and 150 A at 100%, and for your choice take the lower values from the duty cycle.
There is no TIG torch in the set, you buy the 4 m or 8 m cable separately, and for a test we have the 8 m version on site. Gas cooling sets the limit of long work at a high current. The earth cable is about 3 m, and on a larger part a longer one comes in handy.
How we sell used machines
This unit was checked in our service workshop in Krotoszyn with measurements to PN-EN 60974-4 and a load test. The price includes the first year of the basic service package: an inspection with cleaning of the machine and a validation measurement. Further years can be added. We ship across the European Union, collection in person by appointment.
