The Migatronic Pilot 2000 is an gas cooled inverter TIG welder for alternating and direct current. The description gives 200 A at a 45% duty cycle and 150 A at a 100% duty cycle, and a full welding sequence in the settings.
The new 230 V successor to the Pilot 2000 is the Focus TIG 200 AC/DC PFC (the site is in Polish).
What this machine is for
Alternating current takes aluminium and its alloys, direct current takes stainless steel and mild steel. The range up to 200 A suits thin and medium sheet, repairs, assembly work and a workshop that welds different materials in short runs. In continuous work the machine holds 150 A.
The shielding gas cools the torch, so you need no cooling unit and no fluid, and the whole station is simpler and lighter. The cost is a shorter working time at a high current, because the handle heats up faster than with a liquid circuit. A full welding sequence in the settings means you set the stages of the cycle one by one, from gas pre flow and current ramp up to the down slope and the final gas flow.

What to watch out for
The product record gives a 400 V supply, while the old description listed a 230 V and a 400 V supply, so confirm the configuration of this unit before you buy. A TIG torch is not part of the set, leads 4 m or 8 m long are bought separately, and we have the 8 m version for trials. The set covers an earth cable of about 3 m, and the rest of the equipment is open to agreement. The description gives no weight and no dimensions, so arrange transport before collection.
How we sell used machines
This unit was checked in our service workshop in Krotoszyn with measurements to PN-EN 60974-4 and a load test. The price includes the first year of the basic service package: an inspection with cleaning of the machine and a validation measurement. Further years can be added. We ship across the European Union, collection in person by appointment.
