Description
Paton ECO-160 MMA welder – basic data
The PATON ECO-160 MMA welder is designed for manual arc welding with the MMA method, using direct current. The ECO series is dedicated to home users who require a functional device with a nominal current of 160A. This is sufficient to work with any electrode from Ф1 .6mm to Ф4mm including difficult-to-fuse electrodes. The duty cycle is not less than 40%, which allows you to perform most tasks on a semi-industrial scale, as well as works well in the household sector.
Thanks to their robust, compact design, the ECO series welders are ideal for use in the field. The small size of the device makes it very portable, and the professional transport case included makes it much easier to carry the device.
The main advantages of the Paton ECO-160 MMA welder
- European production of welding machines
- Infinitely adjustable welding current
- Ability to work on long extension cords as well as with a generator
- All electronic components are impregnated with two layers of high-quality varnish, which ensures the reliability of the product throughout its lifetime
- Improved arc glow stability
- Hot-Start (hot start), Arc-Force (arc force) and Anti-Force (anti-scratch) functions
- The devices have voltage spike protection and an operation stabilization circuit, allowing proper operation for a voltage range of 170V to 260V
- Twice the electricity demand compared to traditional sources
A 5-year manufacturer’s warranty for consumersconsumers, as well as companies
The highest quality workmanship confirmed by a 5-year DOOR-to-DOOR manufacturer’s warranty. ECO series models are characterized by a compact design, which uses a number of innovative solutions to increase the reliability of the devices. The use of an inverter block procuring frequencies on the order of kHz, affects the dimensions of the transformer in the power block, which significantly reduces the weight and dimensions of the device itself.
The purchased set of MMA welder PATON ECO-160 includes:
- PATON ECO-160 DC inverter welder
- Electrode holder 3m
- Mass holder 3m
- Professional carrying case
- Carrying strap
- User Manual
Hot-Start function (hot start) – ensures the highest quality of the beginning of welding, first-class ignition – when the electric arc is ignited, during a short moment of time, the working welding current increases from the set working level to the optimal level. In some cases (when working with a weak network or generator), this level can be set manually if there is a corresponding switch (as in the “Professional” series ). Lowering the “Hot-Start” to reduce energy consumption from a weak grid or increasing it in a strong grid makes ignition much easier.
Arc-Force function – is used to improve the stability of short arc combustion and prevent “sticking” of the electrode. When a drop of metal separates from the electrode, the current is automatically increased to a certain level if there is a corresponding switch (as in the “Professional” series ). By lowering the “Arc Force” to reduce the energy input from a weak grid or increasing it in a strong grid, the stability of arc combustion is even more improved.
Anti-Stick function (anti-stick) – allows the welder to easily separate the electrode from the product. In the event of a short circuit (if it occurs), after a short break, the welding current is reduced automatically. Once the electrode is separated from the workpiece, the source automatically restores its operation.
The main advantages of the ECO series:
- Voltage drop protection system.
- Additional system for stabilizing operation at larger long-term voltage differences in the single-phase power grid between 170 V and 260 V. At a minimum current voltage of 170 V, you can weld with an electrode with a diameter of Ф3mm or less.
- Adaptation to standard electrical network. Due to the high efficiency of the welder, it provides two times less electricity requirements compared to traditional sources.
- Functionality due to the long load time at nominal current, which allows comfortable welding with Ф3mm diameter electrodes at their nominal current.
- Increased reliability in dusty and high-humidity production environments thanks to a robust design that protects electronics.
- Enhanced durability due to impregnation of the electronic system with two layers of high-quality varnish, which ensures the reliability of the product throughout its lifetime.
- Improved arc glow stability.
- Efficiency by using the latest advanced IGBT technology.
