Welder Fantasy is a brand created by the company FACHOWIEC in 1991. Inverter TIG/MMA welders, MIG/MAG welders, plasma cutters and the other equipment carrying the Welder Fantasy mark have been chosen for years by thousands of workshops and companies in Poland and abroad. The Welder Fantasy brand means:

  • Top quality of the machines,
  • Guaranteed reliability,
  • High working parameters,
  • Leader on the Polish market.

“WELDER FANTASY” IS A PROTECTED AND REGISTERED TRADEMARK - see the Protection Certificate document

The Welder Fantasy PERFECT BI-PULSE 261 is a modern, synergic inverter power source that offers many options in welding work. Its main advantages are welding with current in single or double pulse in MIG or MAG mode and the use of synergic settings.

Reliability and the many possible applications of these machines satisfy even the most demanding users. The multifunction inverter MIG/MAG welder Welder Fantasy PERFECT BI-PULSE 261 is fitted with a 4-roll wire feeder with extra lighting inside that makes threading the wire easier. The machine is intended for manual arc welding of metals and metal alloys with the following processes:

  • MIG/MAG with double pulse,
  • MIG/MAG with single pulse,
  • MIG/MAG - continuous welding,
  • Braze welding,
  • FCAW,
  • SPOT spot welding,
  • TIG DC lift,
  • MMA.

The intuitive, easy to use control panel with a colour display lets you set all the main welding parameters quickly. You can choose one of five menu languages: Polish, English, German, French or Czech. Thanks to the synergic settings the welding parameters are matched automatically to the welding wire diameter and to the thickness and type of the material.

The machine has stepless adjustment of welding voltage and welding current and a thermal overload protection circuit that guards the integrated circuits against overheating.

Thanks to modern IGBT technology and high quality components, the Welder Fantasy PERFECT BI-PULSE 261 machines suit professional welding work in branches such as the automotive industry, metal structures and many others.

IGBT technology, Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistor, is a modern technology based on bipolar transistors with an insulated gate. It combines the easy control of field effect transistors with the high breakdown voltage and the switching speed of bipolar transistors. IGBT technology considerably extends the reliable service life of welding machines.

High duty cycle of the machine 60%.

AUTO - synergic settings - automatic control of welding parameters such as the voltage and the current of the welding arc and the wire feeder speed. The machine matches the welding parameters to the wire diameter and to the thickness and type of the material.

MIG/MAG - gas shielded arc welding is one of the most common processes used to make welded structures. In semi-automatic welding the edges of the workpiece and the material of the consumable electrode are melted by the heat of the electric arc burning between the electrode, a solid wire, and the workpiece, under inert or active shielding gas.

MIG PULSE - an advanced form of welding that uses the best of the transfer modes of molten electrode material to the workpiece. Unlike short circuit transfer, pulse welding produces no spatter and carries no risk of cold lap. Welding positions in pulse mode are not limited, because they derive from globular or spray transfer, and their use is clearly more efficient. By cooling the spray arc process, pulsed MIG can widen the welding range, and the lower heat input avoids burning through thin material. MIG PULSE is one of the best welding processes for many applications and metal types.

MIG DOUBLE PULSE - welding MIG/MAG with double pulse gives a high standard of bead appearance, the scale effect. Automatic wire feeding also improves welding output. The MIG/MAG method with double pulse allows the current pulsation to be adjusted, the pulse balance, and the wire feed speed to be matched. This refines the look of the weld. During MIG/MAG welding with double pulse the current pulses occur in two ranges. The sequence circuit of our machines combines two pulse levels automatically, hot and cold.

Benefits of the MIG MAG method with double pulse:

  • MIG/MAG welding with double pulse is faster than TIG.
  • MIG/MAG welding with double pulse reaches a visual standard as high as TIG.
  • MIG/MAG welding with double pulse causes less distortion than TIG.

FCAW - thanks to the polarity change function, welding without shielding gas is possible with self-shielded FCAW wire. This method uses self-shielded cored wire for welding, in all positions, steels of normal and raised strength not exceeding 510 MPa. Self-shielded wire can be used in single and multi pass welding, with power sources of flat as well as drooping characteristic. The wire is intended for general production work, also in field conditions, and for welding structures with no impact toughness requirement. Welding current DC(-).

TIG DC LIFT - welding with a tungsten electrode under inert shielding gas. This method welds all types of steel, that is carbon, alloy, stainless and acid resistant, and also copper alloys such as bronze or brass.

MMA - a method that uses a covered electrode consisting of a metal core with a coating. The welder feeds the electrode towards the workpiece as it melts so as to hold the arc at a constant length, and at the same time moves the melting tip along the weld line. The machine welds with all electrode types, for example basic, cellulosic, rutile or acid.

MMA VRD - the VRD function available in MMA mode (Voltage Reduction Device, a module that lowers the open circuit voltage of the secondary circuit of the machine). It raises safety and limits the risk of electric shock. The function switches the welding power off and on when the resistance between the electrode and the workpiece is measured during welding.

Additional functions:

- Inductance adjustment in the MIG/MAG method Correctly set welding inductance reduces the amount of spatter. It depends on the welding wire diameter, the shielding gas used, the current and the welding position. Lower inductance makes the arc more stable and more concentrated, higher inductance gives a more fluid weld pool and less spatter. A correct setting shows itself in a stable arc, even transfer of molten metal droplets, a constant weld pool size and a characteristic repeatable sound without spatter and cracking.

- SPOT spot welding - a timed welding function used for tacking parts, which gives welds of even length.

-  Braze welding - the machine can braze weld, a process used mainly in the automotive industry to join galvanised sheet.

- arc ignition by:

  • 2T - two-stroke,
  • 4T - four-stroke,
  • SPOT - spot welding with the following settings:
    - pre gas,
    - spot welding ON - arc burning time in spot welding.
    - spot welding OFF - time between arc ignitions in spot welding,
    - post gas,
  • S-2T - two-stroke special - arc ignition in two-stroke mode with the following settings:
    - pre gas,
    - start current,
    - current rise time,
    - current down slope time,
    - end current,
    - post gas,
  • S-4T - four-stroke special - arc ignition in four-stroke mode with the following settings:
    - pre gas,
    - start current,
    - current rise time,
    - current down slope time,
    - end current,
    - post gas.

- storage for 18 user programs,

- PRE GAS - adjustment of the shielding gas flow time before welding,

  • POST GAS - adjustment of the shielding gas flow time after welding,
  • HOT START - a function that makes starting a weld easier. At arc ignition the welding current is raised for a moment to heat the material and the electrode at the contact point and to shape the penetration and the bead face correctly in the first phase of welding.

- ARC FORCE - a function that stabilises the arc by holding the arc voltage regardless of arc length and makes it easier to control the amount of spatter.
