PATON™ PowerMIG-400-15-4-400V (WAM) MIG/MAG welder
The PATON PowerMIG-400-15-4-400V digital inverter wire welder is a professional machine for semi automatic welding (SA "MIG/MAG"), manual arc welding (MMA) and argon arc welding (TIG) with direct current, under shielding gases and gas mixtures. The machine uses a fully digital control method, which gives it many functions and a broad scope for fine tuning the welding modes. The main feature of the PATON PowerMIG-400-15-4-400V is the 100% load duration (LD) at the rated current of 400 A, which lets the machine run without any risk of overheating. That makes it right for long and heavy duty work in production settings. The inverter takes electrodes from 1.6 mm to 8 mm in diameter and welds semi automatically with solid wire from 0.6 mm to 2 mm. The twin housing lets you separate the power source from the wire feeder, which adds a lot of mobility and makes work in MMA and TIG modes easier.
PULSE FUNCTION
- PULSE in the TIG process full control of the heat put into the material, a strong function for welding stainless and acid resistant steel,
- PULSE in the MMA process easier transfer of material from the electrode into the weld pool, better quality of the welded joint,
- PULSE in the MIG/MAG process easier detachment of the metal droplet from the end of the electrode wire, with adjustable pulsed current parameters. MIG welding with pulse is useful on stainless and acid resistant steels and aluminium alloys. Pulse welding also gives better parameters in CuSi3 braze welding.
The machine has synergic control in pulsed mode, which picks the best welding parameters by itself and keeps the arc stable and the weld quality high.
The PowerMIG-400-15-4-400V has a high quality metal 4 roll wire feeder with a strong sealed motor, and the universal KZ-2 connector of the "EURO" type takes welding torches from many makers. The sturdy spool holder carries coils weighing up to 15 / 18 kg. The PowerMIG-400-15-4-400V combines high power and output with low weight and compact size.
